Wind-Resistant
Fabric or garment that blocks much but not all wind movement.
What is Wind-Resistant? Fabric or garment that blocks much but not all wind movement.
Wind-resistant garments block most wind but allow some airflow through the fabric. Tightly woven nylon, polyester, and softshell fabrics are wind-resistant. Wind-resistant garments breathe better than fully wind-blocking ones, making them better for active use. The difference from fully wind-blocking (Wind Stopper, Gore Wind Stopper, Polartec WindBloc) is real but not always significant.
