What is Thinsulate? A synthetic insulation made by 3M, used in gloves, boots, and outerwear.
Thinsulate is a microfiber synthetic insulation developed by 3M. It is thinner than down or other synthetics for equivalent warmth, making it useful in gloves, boots, and slim insulated jackets where bulk matters. Thinsulate is rated in grams per square meter (40g, 100g, 200g, 400g) — higher numbers mean more warmth.
