PrimaLoft
A synthetic insulation that maintains warmth when wet and dries quickly.
What is PrimaLoft? A synthetic insulation that maintains warmth when wet and dries quickly.
PrimaLoft is a synthetic insulation made of fine polyester fibers engineered to mimic down's thermal properties. Unlike down, PrimaLoft retains most of its insulation value when wet and dries fast. It is heavier than down for the same warmth but more practical in damp climates or for active use where sweat or rain might compromise down's loft. Many midweight insulated jackets use PrimaLoft Gold or PrimaLoft Black.
