What is Linen? Fabric made from flax fibers, known for breathability and cooling properties in hot weather.
Linen is woven from the fibers of the flax plant. Its hollow fibers and loose weave maximize airflow against the skin, making it the most breathable common fabric. Linen wrinkles aggressively (most wearers accept this as part of the look), dries fast, and gets softer with washing. It is the gold standard for hot-weather clothing — shirts, trousers, sundresses, blazers, suits. Heavyweight linen (250+ gsm) holds up well for years; lightweight linen (under 200 gsm) is delicate.
