Feels-Like Temperature
The temperature that the air actually feels like to the human body, accounting for wind chill or heat index.
What is Feels-Like Temperature? The temperature that the air actually feels like to the human body, accounting for wind chill or heat index.
Feels-like temperature (also called apparent temperature) combines air temperature with wind chill in cold conditions and heat index in hot conditions to estimate what the human body actually experiences. A 30°F day with 20 mph wind has a feels-like of 18°F. A 90°F day at 80% humidity has a feels-like of 105°F. Dress for the feels-like temperature, not the air temperature — your body cares about how it actually feels.
